Storey’s work now invades cyberspace in blog form. His blog is a digital reproduction of his daily Journal entries. 147 Journals and 35 years of paintings, drawings, scribblings, manifestoes, synapse flashes, and frozen moments ensnared on paper chronicle Storey's life experience. Like his journals, Barron Storey is a work in progress. And like Barron Storey, his journals are genius underestimated.The work is intensely personal; the rough, leading edge of an ever-expanding inner awareness. Brave, relevant, and most of all: true. Storey clearly attempts to make much more than art. He earnestly and desperately tries to make sense of himself, life, and that grey area where the two intersect. The explanation for his compulsion is simple. In his own words: “It was worth my time to try.”
